I've talked with high-school history classes, but only in person. I'm really not sure how a Google Hangout or other remote visit works. Any guidelines for what has been successful in your classroom? I have long been an advocate of teaching history through inquiry, investigation, and evidence-based interpretation. My students have become deeply engaged in an investigation of the Boston Massacre as we seek to understand "what the people of Boston were so upset about that led them to riot against the British soldiers."

Your work has been increasingly useful as they dig deeper into an event (or series of events) that was far more complex than any textbook entry provides for. It would be amazing if you could offer some time to talk via (Google) Hangout with my classes about your work. I am interested for them to hear and see how you have come to the conclusions you present more than the conclusions themselves.

Posts such as this reveal much about your methods and your goals of exposing those who desire to make statements without decent evidence. Please consider and get back to me. I'll monitor this comment feed.Lawrence Brucehttp://mrbruceshistory.wikispaces.comnoreply@blogger.com
