First of all, the implication that a progressive approach to history is somehow not "narrative" is insulting.<br /><br />Second of all, I don't know why so many politicians think the best way to instill national pride is to distort history (Ignoring or even destroying anything that contradicts their impression of who the "good guys" are. Real history is far more inspiring. <br /><br />I'm much more proud of my country when I look at the past "warts and all" to see that our lives today were not inherited from a bunch of flawless gods, but from real people with flaws, vices, weaknesses and passions who fought for the changes that give us the lives we have today.Daud Alzayerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00159094499713375760noreply@blogger.com
