More Events This Very Week

A couple of local Revolutionary War reenacting units are hosting talks this week which are open to the public—though attendance does put one at risk of being recruited.

Benedict Arnold’s 1775 Campaign against British Quebec
Lincoln Minute Men
Tuesday, 3 February, 7:30 P.M.
Bemis Hall, 15 Bedford Road, Lincoln

Larry Zuelke will recount the hardships of Benedict Arnold’s overland expedition against Canada, launched from Maine in October 1775. Zuelke will also show slides of the 1975 reenactment of this campaign.

18th-Century Gentlemen’s Wigs
Gardner’s Regiment/Charlestown Militia
Saturday, 7 February, 3:00 P.M.
Bunker Hill Museum, 43 Monument Square, Charlestown

Michael Kaplan, who for thirty years has provided hair for reenactors and such dramatic presentations as the John Adams miniseries, will discuss genteel hairstyles and accoutrements for men, and display a variety of wigs.
