J. L. BELL is a Massachusetts writer who specializes in (among other things) the start of the American Revolution in and around Boston. He is particularly interested in the experiences of children in 1765-75. He has published scholarly papers and popular articles for both children and adults. He was consultant for an episode of History Detectives, and contributed to a display at Minute Man National Historic Park.

Craft Demonstrations at Job Lane House, 6 Sept 2008

The Friends of the Job Lane House in Bedford, Massachusetts, are hosting their tenth annual Colonial Demonstrator Faire tomorrow, 6 Sept 2008, from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. There will tours of the 1713 house and demonstrations of colonial-era crafts. The cost is $2.00 per person, with proceeds going to the museum.
